Have you ever been to a meetup event and thought how am I going to find the right people in the crowd?
Simply click on the event link and the app will open with the groups of the people going assigned to specific directions at the event.
When you login you will be matched with the most similar people also going.
Example FindMyPeople event link https://findmypeople.app/event?id=cbnzkqyxqbgb
or tryExample event link https://findmypeople.app/event?id=zsftwlyxqbhc
Find events in your local GPS area.
All RSVP members are analyzed and sorted into 4 distinct sub-groups, these are then assigned a compass point in the event room in the hope that people will self separate into their particular interests.
Probably the most important feature, the app goes through each person attending the event and compiles a list of best matches accroding to interests, history, location etc.
FindMyPeople.app is very simple to use wheather you are logged in or not
The easiest way for everyone to access the event info is to simply link to the app in this simple format.
https://findmypeople.app/event?id=cbnzkqyxqbgb
To find the specific event is is very easy, just look in the browser url for the id as the example shown below.
Simply post this link in the event description or even just in the event comments and anyone who clicks it will open the event on their phones even if it needs to insall the app first.
Using the RSVP button in the app also gives the option to post the event url to the comments section so others can find you.
Our app servers will analyze everyone with an RSVP and serve up the compass groups and individual matches for your event.
*Note the server will scan everyone at the time of creation which obviously will miss many people who will eventually RSVP before the event, it does a final scan a few hours before the event and so the best time to check it is just before or during the event to see everyone.
I have always been frustrated by how real life social events seem to be left to random chance. Until now most hi-tech ideas have been unworkable. For example, imagine everyone with giant barcode stickers on their shirt holding their phones at one another as they wander the room. Or perhaps imagine everyone wearing augmented reality glasses with peoples profiles hovering above their heads while trying to talk with emails and alerts flash up in their eyeballs. Yes, it's a difficult problem and there isn't an easy way to connect like minded people efficiently in person so this is the best idea I could come up with by having everyone separate into general sub interest groups to improve their chances of proximity to people with common interests.
